Boon Township family finds alarming levels of PFAS in water, encourages others to test

"People who live around the Cadillac Industrial Park are taking steps to get their private wells tested for PFAS contamination.

But 8 miles away from the industrial park, one family's private well in Boon Township has the highest PFAS levels advocates have seen so far.

"Would have never thought that being out here," said Alisha Garber. "I thought we'd be safe, and of course we're not. So, it's pretty devastating really."

Garber and her family just moved to their new home in Boon Township a month ago."
