“A federal district court has dismissed a trade association’s lawsuit opposing Minnesota’s ban of PFAS in consumer products.

The US District Court for the District of Minnesota granted the state’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit the Cookware Sustainability Alliance (CSA) filed in January challenging Minnesota’s 2023 Amara’s Law that bans intentionally added per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from consumer products.

The court’s decision builds on an order it issued in February that denied the alliance’s preliminary injunction request and allowed Minnesota to enforce its law, which began banning PFAS in certain products including cookware as of Jan. 1."
