EPA still plans to introduce PFAS limits for drinking water by year-end

"Federal officials said during a visit to Michigan today that they are on track to meet a year-end deadline to propose regulatory standards for PFAS in drinking water.

Director Andrew Wheeler of the Environmental Protection Agency described the federal PFAS Action Plan that was released in February as “the most comprehensive action plan by the agency for an emerging chemical concern in our 49-year history.”

“We are moving forward on toxicity standards, drinking water standards and groundwater standards,” Wheeler said when asked after a presentation in Detroit..."
