"Research revealed earlier this year has shown high levels of "forever chemicals" in foam found in a watershed that spans Maine and New Hampshire.

Results from samples taken from Great Bay showed PFAS levels in the foam were up to 70 times higher than those in the water just beneath it. This sampling area is located near the Pease Tradeport, a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Superfund site known for PFAS contamination that dates back several decades.

While foam can naturally occur, environmental officials are advising people and pets to avoid contact with foam in the area."
