"The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has overwhelmingly approved legislation that would ban toxic PFAS chemicals from a wide range of consumer products, including baby items, cosmetics, menstrual products and dental floss.
House Bill 2145 passed Monday by a bipartisan vote of 188-13 and now heads to the state Senate for consideration.
The measure, introduced by Reps. Greg Scott, D-Montgomery County, and Natalie Mihalek, R-Allegheny/Washington counties, would prohibit the manufacture and sale of covered products containing intentionally added PFAS beginning July 1, 2027."
