"A West Valley city just received $480,000 in settlement funds from chemical manufacturer 3M, and more money is on the way.

3M gave the City of Peoria its first payout after a national class action lawsuit over chemicals called PFAS being in the city’s drinking water.

City officials said they expect 3M to send multiple payments over the next eight years, amounting to more than $2 million. It will help cover the cost of removing the chemicals from their drinking water."
