"Florham Park, New Jersey-based Reworld Waste LLC says “rigorous testing” has validated that the thermomechanical treatment facilities (TTFs), or waste-to-energy (WTE) plants, it operates provide for the “full-scale destruction” of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contained in discarded materials such as plastic.

Reworld now is marketing the ability of TTFs to destroy the substances dubbed “forever chemicals” as a service called ReAssure PFAS Destruction, sayint if offers the nation’s largest full-scale destruction capacity for PFAS-containing materials across municipal, commercial and industrial waste streams.

Earlier this year, a study commissioned by the Minneapolis-based Minnesota Resource Recovery Association (MRRA) found that WTE plants such as TTFs can destroy nearly all PFAS found in inbound streams."
