West Michiganders show PFAS levels twice as high than average, study reveals

"Some West Michigan residents questioned high levels of what is known as "forever chemicals" in their drinking water since it was first identified in 2018.

Michigan Department of Environmental Quality tested high amounts of PFAS, man-made toxic chemicals, in the City of Parchment's water system affecting thousands of households' drinking water in July 2018.

The chemicals were also found in private wells around Cooper Township, outside of Kalamazoo."
