"California lawmakers have quietly shelved a bill to bolster enforcement and monetary penalties by the state toxics department following new laws that ban PFAS from cookware and food packaging, with sources indicating that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) administration prefers to enhance such efforts under its own budgeting strategy.
