CEN/ISO meeting in Frankfurt to discuss development of an EN ISO standard on PFAS where TF is included (EOF)

A CEN/ ISO meeting will take place in Frankfurt where we will discuss the progress to develop an EN ISO standard on PFAS where TF is included (EOF).

The draft European standard on PFAS was decided to be launched as a New Work Item, which means that it will be published within 2 years (if nothing extra ordinary happens).

There will be a joint ISO CEN meeting in May where a possible EN ISO standard on PFAS will hopefully be decided. The current draft are in two part:

1. Ionic PFAS
2. Neutral PFAS

Concerning the issue of total fluorine (a possible part 3) the committe was divided so this will further discussed at the joint meeting in May.  It is primarily for solid items such as leather and textiles but may be extended to liquids as well.
