EPA restores $1.4M UMaine PFAS grant

"Almost a month after it was canceled, more than $1 million in EPA funding for the University of Maine is back.

The $1.4 million grant was being used to study how forever chemicals interact with plants, soil and food.

When they cancelled it, the EPA said PFAS research was no longer a priority.

However, the University of Maine says that $1.4 million grant was restored last week, and their work will continue."
