Oregon Legislature bans firefighting foam containing PFAS

"The Oregon Legislature has passed a bill aiming to protect the health of the state’s firefighters and the environment.
Senate Bill 91 prohibits fire departments from using firefighting foam with intentionally added PFAS, or per- and poly-fluorinated substances, except as required by the Federal Aviation Administration or other federal law.
PFAS are a family of chemicals used since the 1940s for their heat-, moisture-, grease- and stain-resistant qualities, as well as nonstick qualities."
