"The past year proved to be a significant one for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) governance, with the industry experiencing a whirlwind of new regulatory activity from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), from a final retrospective reporting rule for PFAS to a proposed rule establishing the first enforceable national drinking water standards for six PFAS chemicals. As it is anticipated EPA will continue along this forward-moving trajectory to further additional regulation, 2024 is on track to be another monumental year."
