Massachusetts and Maine lawmakers unite to tackle PFAS contamination

"Lawmakers from Massachusetts and Maine convened at a farm in Arundel to address the pressing issue of PFAS contamination, commonly referred to as "forever chemicals."

The meeting aimed to discuss the dangers posed by PFAS and the measures each state is implementing to combat the contamination.

"I came to the great State of Maine so excited because I've understood Maine's leadership nationally and internationally on the issue of banning PFAS, banning bio-solid applications, centering farms, and supporting farmers," said Senator Joanne Comerford of Massachusetts.

Henry Ingwersen, a legislator from Arundel, highlighted Maine's collaborative approach."
