DuPont and Chemours sued by New Jersey over pollution in Pompton Lakes and other sites
News
2 Apr 2019 | North Jersey Record
New Jersey sued chemical giant DuPont on Wednesday seeking financial damages for widespread pollution that contaminated air, soil and water at four sites across the state and endangered the health of thousands, including residents of a Pompton Lakes neighborhood who have had to endure cancer-causing…

Levels, accumulation patterns and retrospective trends of perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) in terrestrial ecosystems over the last three decades
Science
3 Jan 2019 | Environ. Pollut.
PFAAs are still detectable in the environment and concentrations of other PFAAs as perfluorobutanoic acid appear to be increasing over the past 30 years.

A review of human exposure to PFAS: substantial contribution from seafood
Science
30 Nov 1925 | Environ Health Prev Med
In Japan, rivers contaminated by industrial PFAS discharges have led to high levels of long-chain PFAS in seafood such as cod, clams, and shrimp, and because seafood is a dietary staple, this pathway now accounts for the majority of human PFAS intake and explains the higher blood concentrations observed in the Japanese population compared to other countries.

Reconstructing the Composition of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Contemporary Aqueous Film-Forming Foams
Science
1 Mar 1921 | Environ Sci Technol Lett
A combination of methods can accurately assign the total PFAS mass attributable to AFFF in an aqueous sample with differentiation of gross precursor classes and identification of major precursor species.
